Announcing Phono Mobile

If you haven’t yet played with Phono, our in-browser softphone and messaging API, now you have a new excuse to try it. Phono is a jQuery plugin that adds voice over IP and real-time messaging to any browser with only a few lines of JavaScript. Now it’s available for mobile devices, too.

QR Code Fun with Tropo!

qrcode Have you seen one of these codes before?  They’re called QR Codes and can be used on mobile phones to direct your browser to a specific web page or even display more information (4,000 characters) about a product or event.  They can also be used to dial phone numbers and send SMS messages too!

Speech recognition is becoming increasingly important in our everyday lives. Smartphones and powerful handheld devices enable multimodality, and there are more and more restrictions placed on our use of phones while doing other things (like driving).
